This is how you can build a stunning swimming pool in your backyard. Unbelievable!

Just imagine how wonderful it would be to have your own swimming pool where you can relax and have lots of fun with your friends after a long day at work or on the weekends. It’s probably one of the biggest dreams of your life.

First of all, plot out the exact place of your future ’pool-pond.’ The rectangle indicates the area of the future pool, while the white outline is the edges of the pond.

It is very easy to dig out the ground for the pool with an excavator.

Once the area for the pool has been prepared, set up pipes that will circulate water through the filtration system.

Next, dig the area for the pond that is adjacent to the pool. Try to dig it yourself.

Cover the whole area with insulating materials.

First of all, cover the bottom of the pond with felt.

Then lay down a pond liner on top of the felt, and put heavy items on it so that the wind doesn’t blow everything away.

Install the filtration system in the house.

And now it’s time to decorate your swimming pool and pond.

Lay flat flagstones at the bottom of the pool, and use decorative bricks for constructing the walls.

Add some gravel into the pond area, and then fill both the pool and the pond with water.

Japanese road reopens one week after vast sinkhole appeared

A section of road in the centre of the Japanese city of Fukuoka has reopened just days after a sinkhole opened up outside a busy railway station and threatened to topple nearby buildings.

In a typical demonstration of Japanese workmanship and efficiency, workers toiled around the clocks and had practically filled in the section of road in just two days, according to local media.

The road reopened to traffic and pedestrians early on Tuesday after local officials declared the repaired stretch safe.

The weeklong rush to reopen the busy stretch of road included repairs to a sewage pipe and replacing traffic lights and utility poles that were swallowed when the sinkhole opened up shortly after 5am local time on 8 November.

The incident caused power cuts and disrupted phone signals, and gas and water supplies, but there were no reports of injuries.

Mom Lives In This Shipping Container With Her Daughter After Transforming It With Her Bare Hands

Lulu is a country girl from Argentina who now lives in the states with her young daughter. The single mom had gone back to school, but was not interested in a traditional 9-to-5 job or a lifestyle that requires constant work in order to pay rent.

When it came time for Lulu to move out of her house, she decided to move herself and her daughter into a standard shipping container.

The shipping container, which was used to bring things back and forth from China, turned into Lulu’s bohemian haven.

With no building experience, Lulu spent one month and $4000 installing windows, insulation and a functioning kitchen, which includes a water heater and camping stove.

“When you don’t have money, you just get creative,” Lulu told Fair Companies. After taking multiple trips to the junkyard, Lulu found practically everything she needed to build the home out of recycled materials. Everything from the floorboards to the cabinets is pre-used, but still in great working condition. The mother-daughter duo have a bathtub, toilet, sinks and a makeshift playroom.

The shipping container only offered 160 square feet, and Lulu eventually decided she and her daughter needed more space. So, she built their new bedroom on a used flatbed trailer.

“This was really a choice about how many hours do we have to our life, and how do I want to spend those hours?”

In turn, Lulu is challenging the stereotype of a “normal” mother in an effort to live a simpler life and spend more quality time with her daughter.

There’s A Proposal To Build 1,000 Ft Walls Around An Excavated Central Park

Designers Yitan Sun and Jianshi Wu want to make New York’s Central Park available to more people by digging down to the bedrock of the park. The idea is to create a 1000-feet tall, 100-feet deep mega structure that provides a total floor area of 7 square miles, which is about 80 times greater than the Empire State Building.

“The ambition is to reverse the traditional relationship between landscape and architecture, in a way that every occupiable space has direct connection to the nature,” – say the authors of the proposal that was awarded first place in eVolo’s annual skyscraper competition.

“With its highly reflective glass cover on all sides, the landscape inside the new park can reach beyond physical boundaries, creating an illusion of infinity. In the heart of New York City, a New Horizon is born.”

Incredible: This Bridge Dives Between Denmark And Sweden

This is the most amazing and the most impressive bridge on the world. Truly genius and impressive engineers miracle. The bridge is gigantic, boasting a four-lane highway as well as a railway on two different levels. Denmark and Sweden are separated by a narrow strip of water — the Øresund strait. When completed, the bridge will be 1,315 m (4,314 ft) long, with a 480 m (1,570 ft) trussed arch span, 359 m (1,178 ft) above the river Chenab and a 650 m (2,130 ft) long viaduct on the Kauri side. Sanyuan Bridge is a major overpass on the northeastern stretch of the 3rd Ring Road of Beijing. The Airport Expressway, Jingshun Road (China National Highway 101) and the 3rd Ring Road are interlinked by the vital overpass.

The refurbishment of Beijing’s Sanyuan Bridge, or Sanyuanqiao started at 11p.m. on Nov. 13, 2015 the whole reconstruction process should be completed for 24 hours but it was delayed to 36 hours and still managed to create a record.
